Poor, Poor, Poor, if I could would rate no Stars. Did not finish the work properly! My Spark Air conditioning was not recharged properly after a transmission change under warranty. When I was returning to Texas the AC started blowing warm air and now you are telling me you can't talk with the dealer in San Antonio, TX to fix this problem. It is a WARRANTY deal not fixed right! Can't really understand why GM DEALERS can't talk to each other and get this fixed....like I am going back to Emporia, KS when I live in San Antionio, TX. All I need is the dealer in San Antonio to re-charge the AC correctly!
Love going to Longbine for all service needs! Quick and efficient and customer service is dependable! Love the people!
After some investigating they called and said that they would just send a check so there is not another confusion. I was perfectly fine with that.
I have been doing business with Longbine Chevrolet Buick in Emporia, Kansas for many years and have never had any reason to rate this company lower than 5 stars. Salesmen are not high pressure individuals and the service department is second to none. Need a new or used vehicle? I highly recommend this great company.
We've had a couple issues with the service department. I travel frequently for work, to the tune of 30,000 miles a year.
I go in for my next oil change, the guy isn't there. I have a business partner take it in. He calls me saying they have no record of a credit there. I said, just pay it, I'll deal with it later because I had a trip to Kansas City planned the next day and I don't have time for it.
Next issue I had a scheduled oil change and I told them I would have my business partner drop off the vehicle at 7 or 730. I was already over my oil change and had a business trip planned the following day. He dropped off my vehicle before they opened. Usually I would get a call with an update. In my business, if I have a client miss a schedule I call them shortly after the scheduled appointment to see if we need to reschedule. It was after lunchtime when I called to get an update. Meanwhile my business partner missed his lunch because he didn't have a vehicle. The guy was unaware we dropped it off while it was sitting there. It was a different guy than I was used to dealing with. The other guy seemed like he was always on his game.
Last year the manufacturer recommended spark plug changes. They didn't have the correct spark plugs and contemplated not putting the non-GM kind in. They decided to put them in any way since I was leaving for Colorado pulling a trailer the following day. I ended up stopping in McPherson to get the correct plugs put in the next day because my truck was missing so bad I couldn't even go the speed limit. It wasn't that big of a deal, Longbine said they would pay the $400 repair bill I had at Midway in McPherson. They gave me a credit since I frequent there for oil changes. I jokingly - but not really - asked if it was going to be a deal where I go to get my oil changed and they have no record of my credit. They said, absolutely not. I was told just to come see him if anyone had any issues.
We both received calls. He told them you should probably not be calling me to apologize, but him to apologize. I received a phone call and was told it's water under the bridge and they will cover my next oil change. In my mind that wasn't really an apology. I told them "No Thanks" I already dropped my vehicle off in Kansas City for an oil change and got a loaner for the day. After going back to where I purchased my vehicle I will not be going back there.
He said, Oh, I'm sorry about that. Let's reschedule a time. I said, No Thanks and I'll have him come pick up the truck.
You gave us excellent service from just dealing over the phone. We love love our '58 Chev Impala 2 Door Hardtop and so does everyone else
I've always been torn since moving back to my home town from Kansas City and supporting our local businesses. I am about due for a purchase of a new vehicle and I won't be purchasing from Longbine. As I am not losing sleep over the issue and I am really not that upset, I still won't be going back. It's easier for me to have my original dealership call to schedule a time, drop it off, get my equivalent loaner, do my work and pick up my truck at the end of the day, have a detail included and a bottle of water sitting in my cup holder. I don't have to do anything. It's like they want my business.....
